There are several things that we can do together to help minimize food waste. First of all, we have to start buying only what we really need, let’s adapt to the lean approach.
- Rule #1: never go shopping when you are hungry: you are more likely to buy a lot of items that you actually don’t need
- Download a weekly menu before you go shopping – that will help you buying only ingredients that are needed
- Even if you see a great offer like ’take 3 kgs of bananas instead of 2kgs’ please ask yourself: do you really need 3 kgs? Will you eat it all up?
