Today it’s all about water. Why? Because our  bodies consist of 60% water! Incredible, right?

But what’s more impressive is that the surface of the earth contains 71% water and water is the only substance that is naturally found in three forms (liquid, gas and solid)!

Exchanging your fizzy drink or juice to pure water will help you cutting down calories automatically while eating, or at least keep your beverages calories at zero. Did you know that water helps energizing the muscles within our bodies? Without a sufficient amount of daily water intake you won’t be able to perform your best in the gym. And this one is for the ladies: if you want to have a healthy looking skin – include plenty of water in your diet. This will hydrate your skin and work as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss.

The new big trend: Raw Food.

So the new big trend: Raw food, what is it? It’s food in its simplicity i.e. food that hasn’t been processed, microwaved, genetically modified or exposed to chemicals. It includes fresh fruits, berries, vegetables, nuts, seeds and herbs in their whole, natural state. Supporters say cooking wipes out most of the vitamins in food and nearly all of the plant nutrients.

Why do people choose the raw food diet? It is said that this diet has many health benefits primarily because it’s low in sodium and high in fibers. Research also claims that it can help prevent diseases such as diabetes and cancer. Moreover, it has proven to help with digestion. People following a raw food diet usually also loose a substantial amount of their body weight as all the unhealthy and nutrient low food has been cut out from their daily food intake; but we also have to acknowledge that the ones following the plan consume much less calories compared to what they would eat on a cooked diet.
